XTB takes Porto sleeve in three-year growth push
FC Porto have signed XTB as their official investment partner and domestic sleeve sponsor until 2029, extending the trading platform’s growing sports portfolio while giving the Portuguese club another internationally focused commercial partner.
FC Porto have agreed a three-year partnership with investment platform XTB covering the 2026-27 to 2028-29 seasons, with the company taking one of the club’s most prominent sponsorship assets.XTB branding will appear on the sleeve of Porto’s men’s first-team shirts across all domestic competitions, beginning with their opening league fixture against Alverca at the Estádio do Dragão.XTB chief executive Omar Arnaout said: “This partnership allows us to significantly boost our visibility in key European markets while deepening our connection with football fans.“Our collaboration goes far beyond branding; we are committed to championing financial education and empowerment for a global fanbase, inspiring a meaningful shift in how supporters engage with personal finance by equipping them with the knowledge, trust, and confidence to make their money work.”The agreement will also give XTB visibility across pitch-side LED boards, stand-mounted displays, external videowalls and the press room at the Estádio do Dragão, alongside digital campaigns, player content and supporter experiences.FC Porto president André Villas-Boas said: “This three-year agreement brings our Club together with an ambitious and internationally recognised organisation. The partnership will allow us to create relevant experiences for our Members and supporters, strengthen FC Porto’s international reach and generate lasting value for the Club.“As a Club of Members, we have a responsibility to choose partners who understand our identity, respect our history and share our ambition for the future.”The deal continues XTB’s substantial expansion into sports sponsorship during 2026, following agreements with Napoli and international basketball governing body FIBA as the Warsaw-listed company increases marketing investment around its global growth strategy.XTB is also targeting greater visibility across the Middle East and North Africa, with the Porto partnership offering international reach alongside a strong Portuguese and European audience.Financial education initiatives will form part of the activation programme, allowing XTB to connect the sponsorship directly with its investment platform rather than relying solely on shirt exposure.Financial terms were not disclosed, with XTB’s sleeve position secured across Porto’s domestic competitions until the end of the 2028-29 season.
