Wrexham sign Nex as shirt sleeve partner
Wrexham have named active gaming company Nex as their shirt sleeve partner for the 2026–27 season, supporting the brand’s UK and Irish launch through kit exposure, stadium activations and community programmes.
Wrexham have agreed a partnership with active gaming company Nex covering shirt sleeve branding and fan engagement as the US-based business expands into the UK and Republic of Ireland.Nex Playground branding will appear on Wrexham’s kits throughout the 2026–27 season. Financial terms and the duration of the wider commercial agreement were not disclosed.Nex president and head of international Tom Kang said: “Wrexham AFC and Nex are both writing exciting new chapters in our respective journeys, driven by a shared commitment to community and connection.“As we expand into the UK, we’re proud to partner with a club that has inspired supporters around the world while staying true to the people and families at the heart of its success.”The partnership will support Nex Playground’s UK and Irish retail launch on June 22, when the motion-based gaming system will become available through Amazon, Argos and Smyths Toys.Wrexham provide Nex with access to a supporter base that has expanded significantly beyond Wales, giving the company a sports marketing platform as it seeks to convert its North American growth into international sales.The partners will also develop activations at the Racecourse Ground and during Wrexham’s summer tour. A dedicated Nex Game Zone is planned as part of the new Kop Stand, creating a permanent demonstration and fan engagement space.Community activity will involve the Wrexham AFC Foundation and the club’s academy, with the partners planning initiatives centred on youth sport, movement and family participation.Wrexham co-chairmen Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds said: “Nex Playground and Wrexham both have big dreams and have experienced giant leaps forward in the past few years.“We look forward to growing together and Nex Playground consoles also allow the esteemed but ageing Wrexham co-chairmen the ability to keep playing and competing but with less risk of ACL tears. Also both brands have the letter ‘x’, which we feel is essential to any collab.”The agreement adds another consumer technology company to Wrexham’s commercial portfolio and links a visible kit asset with retail distribution, matchday activation and community delivery.Nex will begin using the partnership during Wrexham’s pre-season programme before the sleeve branding appears in competitive fixtures from the start of the 2026–27 campaign.
