Venezia FC have appointed Nicola Boscaro as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), adding a senior commercial operator as the club look to scale revenues and sharpen their go-to-market strategy around partnerships and rights.Boscaro joins from AC Milan, where he served as Sales Director, and will be tasked with accelerating commercial growth while strengthening the club’s brand profile in Italy and internationally. The club said Boscaro will report directly to president Francesca Bodie and the board, and will work alongside advisory support from Elevate as Venezia FC develop their longer-term revenue plan.A central pillar of the brief is the club’s stadium project, with Venezia FC positioning the planned venue as a multi-use destination capable of hosting sport and live entertainment as well as matchdays.Francesca Bodie said: “I would like to welcome Nicola on behalf of the entire club. Nicola is one of the most experienced sports executives I have ever met in changing the way clubs generate revenue and strengthen brand awareness internationally.“I am confident that his proven capabilities in revenue development and building high-value partnerships, combined with deep knowledge of Serie A and the football system, will be decisive in accelerating our commercial growth.”Bodie also linked the hire to ambitions that extend beyond football operations, particularly the commercial potential of a venue that can attract premium events and create year-round inventory.Francesca Bodie said: “Together with Nicola and the rest of the management team, we want to deliver a stadium of international level that makes Venezia FC one of the leading teams in Italian football, and that becomes a global reference point for music and live entertainment. His arrival shows the ownership’s commitment and vision to reach world-class standards.”Boscaro described the move as an opportunity to help build an international-facing project with a strong ownership mandate and a clear commercial runway.Nicola Boscaro said: “I am deeply honoured to join the Venezia FC project, under the leadership and vision of Francesca Bodie and the entire shareholder group. I believe this is one of the most exciting and innovative projects in the international football landscape today. It is both a great honour and a great responsibility to be part of it, with an even more special meaning given my Veneto roots.”Venezia FC said Boscaro brings experience across sponsorship, media, partnerships and rights sales from roles in sport and entertainment, including at DAZN and EuroLeague. The appointment signals a continued shift among mid-market European clubs towards building dedicated revenue leadership teams, particularly where stadium development, premium hospitality and non-matchday events can materially change the commercial profile.
