brief

Vasco da Gama and Santos have added consumer-facing businesses to their shirt sponsorship portfolios, securing agreements with allu and Agibank that give both brands exposure until the end of 2026.Electronics rental company allu will appear on the lower front of Vasco’s men’s first-team shirt, while Agibank has secured the principal front-of-shirt position at Santos.Santos president Marcelo Teixeira said: “The arrival of Agibank as a sponsor, occupying one of the main properties on our sacred jersey, is yet another demonstration of the strength of the Santos FC brand and the credibility of our management.“A partnership like this is important for maintaining a great team and executing projects currently under development. The search for new revenue is a permanent focus. Santos FC and Agibank will play together.”Agibank’s agreement covers the remainder of the 2026 season, with its branding scheduled to debut against Fluminense at the Maracanã on October 18.The bank is targeting the breadth of Santos’ support and digital audience as it seeks to increase recognition and build closer relationships with Brazilian consumers.Agibank chief marketing officer Matheus Girardi said: “Santos brings together a tradition that spans generations, a strong connection with the Brazilian public, and a far-reaching digital presence.”The partnership supports a banking business combining digital services with physical branches, aimed particularly at customers whose needs are not fully served by traditional banks or exclusively digital providers.Vasco’s agreement with allu runs until December 31, 2026, with the brand due to make its shirt debut against São Paulo on October 17.The company provides subscription-based access to electronics, including iPhones, and is using the partnership to support the expansion of its franchise model.Launched in 2026, that model allows franchisees to invest in a fleet of phones and generate recurring rental income without operating a physical shop or employing staff.Allu chief executive Cadu Guerra said: “We will be together with one of the biggest fan bases in Brazil to take our franchise and our brand to all of Brazil – and, of course, to win many titles together.”The company reports approximately three million monthly active website users and revenue of around R$500m over the preceding 12 months, alongside R$100m in net profit. Those figures describe allu’s business rather than the value of its sponsorship, with the partnership intended to bring its rental services and franchise proposition to a wider national audience. The two agreements connect football shirt exposure with different customer acquisition objectives: allu is promoting access to technology and franchise investment, while Agibank is seeking broader recognition for its banking services. Both clubs have secured partners for the closing months of the season, with Vasco’s agreement ending on December 31 and Santos’ deal running until the conclusion of the 2026 campaign.
