U.S. Soccer and NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises have renewed their Spanish-language media rights partnership until 2030, locking in Telemundo as the exclusive Spanish-language broadcaster for U.S. Soccer-controlled matches. The extension ties a key audience growth segment to a defined tournament runway, with the Men’s and Women’s National Teams heading into FIFA World Cup 2026, FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, LA28 and the build-up to 2030.Joaquin Duro, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises’ EVP of Sports and head of streaming, said the deal supports multi-platform coverage across the next cycle.“We’re proud to extend our partnership with U.S. Soccer and continue serving as the Spanish-language home for the Men’s and Women’s National Teams.”“From friendlies to major tournaments, this agreement gives us the opportunity to follow the teams’ journey and engage audiences across every platform in the years leading up to 2030.”Under the renewed agreement, Telemundo will present more than 20 U.S. National Team matches annually across Telemundo, Universo, Peacock and Telemundo’s digital platforms, including its FAST channel Telemundo Deportes Ahora.Coverage includes matches played across the United States and its territories, with rights spanning the USMNT, USWNT and U.S. Soccer youth national teams. The package also includes a slate of properties that are central to U.S. Soccer’s commercial calendar, including high-profile international friendlies, the SheBelieves Cup and select competitions such as the CONCACAF Nations League.David Wright, U.S. Soccer’s chief commercial officer, said the partnership is positioned as both distribution and audience development as the sport’s domestic relevance accelerates.“We’re excited to build on our partnership with Telemundo in bringing U.S. Soccer to Spanish-speaking fans throughout the country.”“As we look ahead to 2026 and beyond, this partnership is about more than distribution. It’s about reaching new audiences, deepening engagement, and ensuring more fans can see and follow our teams in the moments that matter most.”Telemundo and U.S. Soccer also highlighted a broader content approach around key moments in the cycle, including behind-the-scenes access and programming around qualifying and send-off matches linked to major tournaments. The renewal gives Telemundo continuity in a category where rights fragmentation is rising, while U.S. Soccer secures consistent Spanish-language reach at a time when sponsors increasingly expect bilingual content strategies, measurable digital delivery and scalable community engagement.
