Seafrigo returns to Le Havre with principal partner deal
Seafrigo has returned to Le Havre AC as principal partner, taking front-of-shirt inventory in a deal that reconnects two locally rooted organisations while giving the logistics group a higher-profile platform for its international brand.
Seafrigo has become principal partner of Le Havre AC, returning to the Ligue 1 club with a front-of-shirt sponsorship as both organisations look to strengthen their shared regional identity and international visibility. The Le Havre-based food logistics company will appear on the first team’s shirts, having previously featured on the club’s kits between 2017 and 2020. Financial terms and the length of the agreement were not disclosed.Le Havre president Jean-Michel Roussier said: “Seafrigo's return alongside HAC, symbolized by its presence on our jerseys, represents a strong milestone for our club.“We share common ambitions: a deep commitment to our region, shared values, and mutual synergies.”The agreement was facilitated by SPORTFIVE and will also include communication campaigns and activation programmes aimed at Seafrigo’s clients, partners and employees. The front-of-shirt position gives Seafrigo significantly greater exposure than a conventional regional partnership, particularly across domestic broadcasts, digital media and match photography. That visibility supports a broader brand strategy for a company that was founded in Le Havre more than 40 years ago but has since expanded across five continents.Seafrigo founder and chairman Éric Barbé said: “Despite our international footprint, our roots in Le Havre remain at the heart of our identity and our growth strategy.”“Our return alongside HAC reflects a strong commitment: to support an iconic club from our region, contribute to its development, and promote values that are essential to us.”The deal also highlights the commercial value of local corporate relationships for clubs outside Europe’s biggest markets.Le Havre gain a principal sponsor with a direct connection to the city, while Seafrigo can use the club as both a community-facing platform and an international communications asset.SPORTFIVE managing director Xavier Odonne said the agency’s role had been to identify the connection between the two organisations and convert it into a meaningful commercial partnership. The agreement therefore combines regional affinity with broader commercial objectives, giving Seafrigo a high-visibility football property while strengthening Le Havre’s principal sponsorship inventory.
