Real Madrid and Emirates have extended their shirt and airline partnership until 2031, keeping the airline as a central commercial pillar across the club’s football and basketball teams.
Real Madrid have renewed their partnership with Emirates until 2031, securing a five-season extension that keeps the airline as the club’s main sponsor and official airline partner. The deal covers Real Madrid’s men’s and women’s teams, with Emirates branding continuing across match shirts, training kits and staff apparel in competitions including LaLiga, the UEFA Champions League, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.Emirates and Real Madrid began working together in 2011, with the airline becoming the club’s jersey sponsor in 2013.Real Madrid said the renewal will take the relationship close to two decades and makes Emirates the longest-running jersey sponsorship in LaLiga history. The agreement also includes a newly signed multi-year deal that makes Emirates the official main sponsor of Real Madrid’s basketball team until 2031.Emirates will retain extensive brand visibility at the Santiago Bernabéu and access to the club’s training facilities, alongside the Emirates Lounge hospitality space inside the stadium. The partnership also extends to Real Madrid’s youth teams, which both parties linked to long-term development and grassroots support.Boutros Boutros, executive vice president of corporate communications, marketing and brand at Emirates, said: “Emirates has a long history of championing football, connecting with millions of people and bringing communities together through our shared love of the game. "What we have built with Real Madrid is a shining example of that commitment, putting fans at the heart of the game, giving them access to moments they will never forget, and inspiring the next generation of fans and players.“As our relationship with Real Madrid grew, so did our presence in Spain. Since our first flight to Madrid in 2010, we’ve expanded our footprint in the country with five daily flights across Barcelona and Madrid, added new cities to our global network with reliable and convenient connectivity via Dubai, and enhanced the travel experience by bringing the latest and greatest Emirates onboard products to Spanish skies, a signal of our long-term commitment to the market.”Florentino Pérez, Real Madrid president, said: “Our partnership reflects the strong and unique relationship we have built over the years. We have stood side by side throughout one of the most successful periods in our club’s history, and we remain committed to continuing this journey together.”Emirates said the partnership has included aircraft branding featuring Real Madrid players on A380s, plus a dedicated Boeing 777 livery used on charter flights from Madrid to Jeddah for the Spanish Super Cup.Both parties also pointed to fan experiences such as meet-and-greets, matchday activations and competitions as part of the rights package.
