brief

RB Leipzig have appointed Levy to manage food and beverage operations at Red Bull Arena under an initial six-year agreement beginning with the 2026–27 season.Levy will replace Gastrobüro, which have worked with the Bundesliga club since 2014. The new partnership covers public catering areas and is intended to reduce queues, accelerate transactions and improve the overall matchday experience.RB Leipzig managing director Johann Plenge said: “With Levy, we have gained an internationally experienced partner who impressed us in a multi-stage and comprehensive selection process. Together, we will consistently develop the catering options in the public areas of our Red Bull Arena to further enhance the stadium experience for our fans.”The agreement will include investment in catering infrastructure, equipment and digital systems. Planned changes include modernised kiosks, more efficient ordering and payment processes, and improvements to visitor flow around the venue.Levy will also develop new food and beverage concepts focused on regional produce, quality and variety. RB Leipzig used feedback collected through matchday fan surveys during the partner selection process.Levy Europe chief executive Jens König said: “Our goal is to jointly demonstrate what modern stadium catering can offer today: fast, high-quality, and consistently tailored to the needs of the fans.“To achieve this, we will invest in infrastructure, digital processes, and innovative gastronomic concepts, with the clear aim of significantly enhancing the matchday experience at the Red Bull Arena.”The appointment gives Levy a long-term platform in the Bundesliga and adds another major European football venue to its portfolio. RB Leipzig, meanwhile, are targeting both operational gains and stronger per-capita spending by making transactions faster and tailoring the offer more closely to supporter demand.Food and beverage performance has become an increasingly important revenue lever for clubs as they seek to generate more value from existing attendance. Shorter waiting times can increase transaction volumes while also addressing one of the most common sources of dissatisfaction inside stadiums.Levy will begin operating at Red Bull Arena when the 2026–27 season starts, with the first phase of improvements focused on public kiosks and digital processes.
