Rangers renewal gives Ebury platform for Scottish business growth
Rangers have extended their commercial partnership with Ebury for three years, retaining the financial services company as their official foreign exchange transfer partner while supporting its visibility among Scottish businesses.
Rangers have agreed a three-year extension with Ebury, continuing a commercial partnership that gives the financial services company a platform to promote cross-border payments, trade finance and risk management services. The renewal maintains Ebury’s designation as the club’s official foreign exchange transfer partner, extending a relationship established in 2024 and adding continuity to Rangers’ commercial partner portfolio.Rangers executive director Fraser Thornton said: “Ebury have been an excellent partner for almost three years now, and we are really pleased to be continuing our relationship.“We enjoy superb support from our range of partners, and we look forward to our continued work with Ebury for the next three years.”Ebury provides international payments and collections, foreign exchange in more than 130 currencies, cash management, business lending and risk management, alongside application programming interface integrations that connect its services with business systems. The company also partners with several European football clubs, using sporting relationships to build recognition for financial services aimed at organisations operating across international markets. Its renewed agreement with Rangers combines that wider football strategy with a specific emphasis on Scotland, where Ebury wants to support businesses seeking to manage overseas transactions and expand their international activity.Ebury UK country manager Phil Monkhouse added: “Renewing our partnership with Rangers FC is a brilliant milestone for Ebury. As one of the most iconic and successful clubs in UK football, Rangers represents a relentless drive for excellence which is a value that sits at the very heart of what we do.“This partnership provides us with a magnificent stage to showcase our cross-border payment, trade finance, and risk management solutions in action alongside an elite sporting brand.”Monkhouse’s comments place business services at the centre of Ebury’s commercial rationale, linking its association with Rangers to the promotion of products for companies handling payments, financing and financial exposure across borders. The extension preserves an established relationship rather than introducing a new partner category, with both organisations identifying the continuation of their collaboration as the principal development.Ebury’s Scottish business focus also extends the stated purpose of the partnership beyond recognition among football supporters, positioning Rangers as a platform for communicating with the wider business community.Monkhouse continued: “Beyond the pitch, we are deeply committed to supporting the vibrant Scottish economy. We look forward to empowering Scottish businesses of all sizes with the financial tools, global reach, and local expertise they need to navigate international markets and thrive.”
