Rams Park lands Supercopa final as Istanbul spreads event across three stadiums
The 2027 Supercopa de España will be staged across three Istanbul stadiums after organisers reshaped the event plan, with Galatasaray’s Rams Park securing the final and Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş hosting the semi-finals.
Rams Park will host the 2027 Supercopa de España final after organisers revised plans for the tournament’s first edition in Turkey. The Spanish Football Federation had originally announced that all three matches would be played at Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium, but the signed hosting agreement now spreads the event across three major club venues.Fenerbahçe’s Chobani Stadium will stage the first semi-final between Barcelona and Atlético Madrid on February 2, with Beşiktaş’s Tüpraş Stadium hosting Real Sociedad against Real Madrid a day later. The final will take place at Rams Park, Galatasaray’s home, on February 6.RFEF president Rafael Louzán said: “There will be three great matches in three great stadiums. Istanbul has hosted the UEFA Champions League and Europa League finals in recent years. It’s a city prepared to organise major international events.“Istanbul will fully embrace the Supercopa, and this tournament will help its international profile. We hope this won’t be the only occasion. We want it to be the beginning of a more special relationship between Spanish and Turkish football.”Istanbul was selected after the RFEF assessed up to seven potential hosting bids. The tournament is moving temporarily from Saudi Arabia because the Kingdom will stage the AFC Asian Cup from January 7 to February 5, creating a scheduling clash with the Supercopa.Saudi Arabia remains contracted to host the competition until 2029 and is expected to regain the event in 2028.Saudi agency Sela will continue to play a central role despite the move, overseeing commercial rights and operational delivery in partnership with the RFEF and Turkish Football Federation.Riyadh Season will also remain a sponsor of the 2027 tournament. The revised stadium plan increases the number of Istanbul venues able to benefit directly from the event through hospitality, ticketing and matchday activity rather than concentrating all inventory at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium.Turkey’s culture and tourism minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said the Supercopa has generated more than 405m video views and 312m social media impressions globally, while the participating clubs have a combined international fan reach exceeding 700m.Istanbul recorded 10.5m visitors during the first seven months of 2026 and has more than 134,000 hotel rooms, giving organisers significant tourism and accommodation capacity around the three-match event. The agreement gives Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş direct exposure to one of Spanish football’s biggest internationalised properties while giving the RFEF a temporary alternative capable of maintaining the Supercopa’s overseas commercial model.
