PSG takes WE RUN overseas with QNB-backed Doha launch

Paris Saint-Germain are taking their WE RUN initiative to Doha with a QNB-backed event expected to attract more than 2,000 participants, extending the club’s international fan engagement activities beyond football.

Paris Saint-Germain are expanding their WE RUN concept internationally with a first Doha event on October 30, bringing sponsors and supporters together through a running programme at Lusail International Circuit.QNB will be the naming partner of PSG QNB WE RUN DOHA, with more than 2,000 participants expected across 10km and 5km races and a 1km children’s event at the Formula One venue.Fabien Dilem, general manager of PSG’s Middle East regional office, said: “We are delighted to be part of the WE RUN experience in Doha and to contribute to this new chapter in the running community. This event is about much more than performance. It is about bringing people together through sport, sharing the values of the Club and bringing the Paris Saint-Germain experience closer to our fans and communities here in Qatar.“To see more than 2,000 participants come together in the colors of Paris Saint-Germain at Lusail International Circuit will make this a truly special occasion.”The event follows the launch of PSG Running earlier this year and gives the club’s commercial partners a platform to engage with runners, families and supporters outside the football matchday setting.Lusail International Circuit will serve as official venue partner, while Qatar Airways, Visit Qatar, Ooredoo, Aspetar and WHOOP will support the programme alongside Al Rayyan Water, QSFA and Al Meera.Activities will include sponsor activations, warm-up sessions, entertainment, food and beverage areas and dedicated fan experiences, combining the races with a wider community event carrying PSG’s identity.Heba Al-Tamimi, QNB’s senior executive vice-president for group communications, commented: “At QNB Group, we believe in the power of sport to bring communities together, promote wellbeing and contribute to sustainable development.
