PSV stadium revenue push grows with BMV and Pringles deals
PSV have added BMV as construction partner for the planned Philips Stadium expansion while signing Pringles to support their new fan catering strategy, tying venue redevelopment to matchday revenue growth.
PSV have named BMV as their official construction partner as the Dutch champions move forward with plans to expand Philips Stadium between 2027 and 2030.The Veldhoven-based construction company will play a central role in the planned redevelopment, which remains subject to permits and financing.PSV chief executive Marcel Brands said: “The expansion of the Philips Stadium is a major project that requires expertise, reliability, and a strong bond with the region. In BMV, we have found a partner that meets all those criteria.”The stadium project is intended to increase capacity and modernise one of Dutch football’s most important venues, giving PSV greater matchday, hospitality and commercial potential.BMV has already been involved in preparing the stadium expansion plans and will now become a long-term construction partner of the club.BMV director Stijn van Gompel said: “As a company from this region, we are incredibly proud to contribute to the future of such an iconic place. The Philips Stadium is part of Eindhoven and of our collective history.”The deal adds an infrastructure partner to PSV’s commercial network at a time when stadium capacity and premium facilities are becoming increasingly important to the club’s revenue strategy.PSV’s ambitions for Philips Stadium sit alongside efforts to improve the supporter experience inside the current venue. The club have also signed Pringles as a new partner for the next two seasons, making the Kellanova-owned snack brand the only potato chip product available to supporters in public catering areas on matchdays.PSV commercial director Frans Janssen said: “With Pringles, we’re bringing a strong and globally recognisable brand to PSV.“This partnership offers plenty of opportunities to jointly develop new activations that will further enhance the fan experience around matches. It’s a great step that aligns with our new strategy for fan catering.”The Pringles deal gives PSV a consumer brand partner directly tied to food and beverage operations, an area clubs are increasingly targeting to raise per-capita spend and improve matchday service.Pringles will also be visible at PSV events, including Fan Day and the Otten Innovation Cup, the club’s international youth tournament at PSV Campus De Herdgang.Dyon Wolders, key account manager at Pringles Netherlands, said: “The passion of the club and its fans aligns perfectly with what Pringles stands for: enjoying special moments and unforgettable experiences together.”The BMV and Pringles agreements show PSV developing both sides of their stadium strategy: long-term infrastructure expansion and immediate matchday commercial improvement.
