brief

Pinterest has agreed a four-year partnership with Brighton & Hove Albion Women that will make the visual discovery platform the first brand to sponsor the women’s team independently from the club’s men’s operation. The Pinterest logo will appear on the back of Brighton’s shirts from their pre-season friendly against Paris Saint-Germain on August 9, while financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.Louise Foley, Pinterest’s director of consumer marketing for Europe, said: “Football fandom starts long before kick-off. It lives in the outfit you pull together, the banner you paint the night before, the friends you go with and the little details that make matchday feel bigger than the game itself.”Foley said: “Pinterest is where those ideas go from URL to IRL, and with Brighton & Hove Albion Women we want to celebrate that creativity and help make every game feel richer, more personal and more memorable for supporters.”The partnership will extend across matchday style, creator collaborations, player storytelling and grassroots community initiatives, giving Pinterest a platform to connect its core focus on visual inspiration with the culture surrounding women’s football.Brighton managing director of women’s and girls’ football Zoe Johnson said: “We are delighted to welcome Pinterest as the first solo sponsor of our women’s team. We’re looking forward to collaborating with them and helping to celebrate the players, fans, community and culture that make the city of Brighton & Hove and our football club such a special place.”The agreement strengthens Brighton’s ability to sell dedicated commercial inventory around their women’s team rather than bundling assets into broader club partnerships, creating a clearer valuation and identity for the operation.Pinterest will also support Brighton as they work towards a new stadium for the women’s team, using content and local activations to build engagement during the development process. The deal follows Pinterest’s partnership with WNBA team New York Liberty and reflects the company’s growing investment in women’s sport as a route into fashion, lifestyle, community and creator-led audiences.Brighton will now begin integrating Pinterest across their shirts, matchdays and digital channels ahead of the 2026-27 season.
