By investing in people, brand and commercial growth, we are positioning the club for sustainable success and ensuring we can compete consistently at the highest level on and off the pitch.”Johnson joins from Merlin Entertainments, where he was global vice president of people and culture, and has worked across consultancy, sports business and media and entertainment with organisations including Virgin Media, BT and Entain.His remit is expected to centre on talent strategy, organisational design and culture, areas that become more complex as clubs expand internationally and professionalise commercial operations.O’Connor will be responsible for driving commercial growth across partnerships, retail, licensing and new business development.He is a co-founder of Zurich-headquartered sports marketing firm 18K Sports and has worked in FIFA’s commercial division, alongside roles at Wanda/Infront Sports and GMR Marketing.Taylor arrives with more than 20 years of experience in global brand building and consumer engagement, with senior roles across hospitality and service-led businesses including Starwood, Shangri-La, Accor and Hurtigruten.His appointment points to a push to refine brand strategy and accelerate marketing effectiveness across international audiences, where club differentiation increasingly depends on content, data and clear positioning.The new roles add to an executive leadership structure that includes Hopkinson, chief financial officer Simon Capper, chief operating officer Brad Miller and sporting director Ross Wilson.The next steps are the new executives taking up their roles across June and July, with early priorities expected to focus on commercial pipeline delivery, brand strategy planning and organisational capability building ahead of the 2026-27 cycle.
