Nespresso takes Barça coffee rights as VIP rollout begins
FC Barcelona have signed Nespresso as the official coffee partner of Espai Barça for five seasons, beginning with service in Spotify Camp Nou’s VIP areas.
FC Barcelona have agreed a five-season partnership making Nespresso the Official Coffee of Espai Barça. The brand will initially serve guests in Spotify Camp Nou’s VIP areas, adding a coffee partner to the club’s growing commercial programme around its redeveloped stadium.Nespresso products will be available during matches, events and other activities at the venue. Barcelona say the rollout will be gradual, but have not identified the additional areas where the brand will appear or given a timetable for expansion. The announcement focuses on service to guests rather than advertising alone. Nespresso’s professional business supplies coffee systems and products to commercial settings, giving the company an opportunity to place its offering inside the hospitality spaces used by Barça’s premium customers.Financial terms were not disclosed. Barcelona have also not specified which products or equipment will be installed, how many VIP areas the first phase covers, or whether the agreement includes sales to supporters elsewhere in the stadium. The distinction between the partnership’s title and its initial operation is significant. Nespresso’s designation covers Espai Barça, the club’s wider infrastructure project, while the service announced so far is concentrated in VIP areas at Spotify Camp Nou.Barcelona have made premium seating, hospitality and sponsorship central to the stadium’s commercial plans. Coffee joins a portfolio of categories through which partners can supply services at the venue as well as associate their brands with the redevelopment. The club announced another five-year Espai Barça agreement with Telefónica earlier this month. That arrangement covers connectivity services at Spotify Camp Nou and includes a stadium box and a branded lounge, illustrating the different rights Barcelona are selling across the project. In July 2025, Barcelona reported €43.6m in annual recurring sponsorship revenue linked to Espai Barça assets and €331.1m in signed commitments over future years. Those figures predate the Nespresso agreement, whose individual value has not been disclosed. The club’s latest budget also shows the importance it places on returning to the stadium. Barcelona expect approximately €60m in additional stadium-related revenue in 2026–27 from ticketing, VIP hospitality, the museum and associated activities.Members approved a separate €510m financing package this month to complete Spotify Camp Nou and address the financial effects of construction delays. The club say the expanded project includes new VIP and hospitality areas alongside other facilities and services.Nespresso’s first test at the venue will be its delivery in those premium spaces during matches and events. Barcelona have yet to announce when the coffee service will extend beyond them.
