Mediapro lands LED advertising rights across 34 LaLiga clubs
Mediapro has signed an agreement with 34 LaLiga clubs to commercialise LED perimeter advertising across domestic and international broadcasts, creating a broader centralised sales platform for brands targeting Spanish football audiences.
Mediapro has agreed a deal with 34 LaLiga clubs to commercialise LED perimeter advertising across domestic and international broadcasts, expanding its role in the monetisation of Spanish football inventory. The agreement covers 16 LaLiga EA Sports clubs and 18 LaLiga HyperMotion teams.Mediapro will sell advertising across a domestic feed covering both divisions, while LaLiga EA Sports matches will also carry a separate international feed for audiences outside Spain. That structure gives brands the ability to buy geographically differentiated perimeter inventory, allowing campaigns to be targeted separately at domestic and international audiences. The rights will be managed through Brands&Xperiences, Mediapro’s commercial unit responsible for its relationships with advertisers and sponsors. The arrangement gives participating clubs access to a more consolidated advertising sales platform while creating additional opportunities for Mediapro to package inventory across multiple teams and markets. It also adds another commercial layer to LaLiga’s broadcast product, with virtual or feed-specific advertising increasingly allowing rights holders and clubs to sell the same physical perimeter space to different brands depending on where a match is being watched. The deal arrives after LaLiga EA Sports generated a cumulative domestic television audience of 288m during the 2025-26 season.Combined attendance across LaLiga EA Sports and LaLiga HyperMotion also reached a record 17.5m spectators.LaLiga HyperMotion recorded more than 27.6m cumulative television viewers in Spain, a 59% increase year on year and its strongest audience performance in four years. Those audience figures strengthen the commercial case for perimeter advertising as clubs seek to increase revenues from assets already visible throughout live broadcasts. The international feed is particularly significant for top-flight clubs, giving Mediapro the ability to match brands with viewers in different territories rather than selling perimeter exposure as a single global product. That could improve the value of the inventory by creating more relevant campaigns for multinational and local advertisers.Mediapro will also work on improving advertising performance and developing different ways for brands and products to appear during LaLiga broadcasts. The agreement therefore extends beyond traditional perimeter sales, positioning Mediapro as a commercial intermediary between clubs, advertisers and the league’s domestic and international broadcast audiences.
