Marseille bring SUEZ into stadium partnership
Olympique de Marseille have expanded their relationship with SUEZ, naming the environmental services company an official supplier for two seasons and extending its presence from community projects to the club’s stadium and other sites.
Olympique de Marseille have named SUEZ an official supplier for the 2026–27 and 2027–28 seasons. The agreement expands a relationship that began with the club’s Treizième Homme foundation in 2024 and gives SUEZ visibility at the CEPAC Vélodrome.SUEZ provides water and waste services and has worked with the foundation on educational, social and environmental projects in the Aix-Marseille-Provence area. The new status brings that local work into a wider partnership with the club.Marseille president Stéphane Richard said: “We are very pleased to continue and expand our collaboration with SUEZ, a partner committed alongside us to building the club of tomorrow. This partnership takes a new step today with its extension to our iconic stadium, as well as our various sites.”The stadium presence will allow SUEZ to highlight its work in Marseille to supporters and other visitors. The club has not specified which assets or activities will form part of that presence. The partnership also continues work at Marseille’s training centre and OM Campus. SUEZ has handled waste collection and recycling at both sites, alongside efforts to improve sorting and raise awareness of environmental issues among young players and staff.Michel Havard, SUEZ’s development director, said: “There is a unique bond between Olympique de Marseille and its local area. SUEZ shares that same closeness and energy. Together, we want to make this partnership a means of action for our region, combining environmental performance, local commitment and social impact.”Marseille and SUEZ plan further projects focused on young people, inclusion and environmental awareness. An activity involving young people from FC La Castellane is due to take place, alongside initiatives bringing together employees from both organisations. The agreement gives SUEZ a broader association with Marseille while retaining the community work that established the relationship. It also gives the club a supplier whose services connect to the operation of its own facilities. The next phase will run through two football seasons, with the planned local projects providing a way to assess what the expanded partnership delivers beyond SUEZ’s new status and stadium visibility.
