Marriott checks into Inter Miami’s new commercial home

Marriott Bonvoy has become Inter Miami’s official hotel and loyalty partner in a long-term deal that embeds the hospitality group within Miami Freedom Park and creates new premium experiences around the club.

Inter Miami have signed a long-term partnership with Marriott Bonvoy, giving the global hospitality group a central role across the club and the wider Miami Freedom Park development.Marriott Bonvoy will become Inter Miami’s official hotel partner and official hotel loyalty programme partner, as well as a founding partner of Miami Freedom Park. Inter Miami president of business operations Xavier Asensi said: “Marriott Bonvoy is one of the world’s leading hospitality brands, and this partnership reflects the shared ambition of two global brands committed to setting a new benchmark for sports and hospitality.“Together, we’re creating meaningful opportunities for Marriott Bonvoy members and our fans to connect with the club in new and unforgettable ways.”The agreement marks Marriott Bonvoy’s first official partnership with a Major League Soccer club and expands its football portfolio following deals with the 2026 FIFA World Cup and US Soccer.The loyalty platform will be integrated into the matchday experience at Nu Stadium, the centrepiece of Miami Freedom Park, through premium access, hospitality packages and dedicated branding.A Marriott Bonvoy VIP Entrance will serve suite holders and other premium-ticket guests, with the brand appearing across external signage, lobby areas and digital displays.The partnership will also use Marriott Bonvoy Moments, allowing members to redeem loyalty points for Inter Miami experiences that are not available through standard ticket sales.Initial packages include private suite access, field-level warm-up viewing, behind-the-scenes pre-match experiences and matchday trips combining tickets with hotel stays.Marriott Bonvoy managing vice-president of brands, marketing and partnerships Mandy Gill said: “Marriott Bonvoy’s first official collaboration with a Major League Soccer club reflects Marriott’s continued investment in the global game and our commitment to connecting members with the experiences they care most about.”The commercial model gives Marriott a direct link between its loyalty currency and scarce sports inventory, helping the group use football to increase customer engagement and encourage hotel bookings.Marriott operates more than 75 hotels across Greater Miami, providing the partnership with a large local accommodation network for supporters, corporate guests and visitors attending matches and events.Inter Miami gain a major international partner capable of supporting the premium and destination-led strategy behind Miami Freedom Park.The mixed-use district is intended to combine football, hospitality and entertainment, creating revenue beyond matchdays and reducing the club’s reliance on conventional sponsorship and ticket income.Nu Stadium opened on April 4, providing Inter Miami with a permanent home designed to support larger crowds, premium seating and higher-value commercial partnerships.Marriott’s founding partner status places the company within that long-term development rather than limiting the relationship to shirt, perimeter or digital advertising assets.The deal gives Inter Miami another global consumer brand as they seek to convert their international profile into long-term commercial value around their new stadium district.
