Ligue 1+ becomes sole Ligue 1 broadcaster and launches Pro offer

LFP Media is turning Ligue 1+ into the sole domestic home of Ligue 1 from 2026–27 while launching a dedicated commercial offer for bars and other venues via Ligue 1+ Pro.

brief

Ligue 1+ will be the only broadcaster of Ligue 1 from next season, creating a single-subscription route to every match of France’s top division for the first time. The shift consolidates domestic distribution under LFP Media’s own platform and increases Ligue 1+’s importance as both a rights vehicle and a direct-to-consumer business.Ligue 1+ will carry all 306 Ligue 1 matches, with pricing set at €16.99 per month for renewing subscribers and €19.99 per month for new customers. Both prices are tied to a 12-month commitment, underlining a strategy focused on reducing churn and improving revenue visibility. The platform is also widening its live schedule by adding Ligue 3, the renamed National, which will begin with two multiplex match rounds on the weekends of August 8 and August 15.Ligue 1+ has positioned the broader slate as a way to increase weekly viewing hours and create a fuller football offering between Thursday and Sunday. The channel is also promising increased club access and shoulder programming, including a run of documentaries and a set of pre-season friendlies featuring Ligue 1 teams in the build-up to the new campaign.Ligue 1+ has also highlighted on-air innovation around officiating, including wider use of referee announcements after VAR reviews, with decisions explained live to stadium and broadcast audiences.Alongside the consumer offer, LFP Media has launched Ligue 1+ Pro, a version of the service designed for professional premises that want to show French football legally. The Pro product targets venues that receive the public, including bars, restaurants, hotels, healthcare sites, cinemas and fan zones.Ligue 1+ Pro will include the full Ligue 1+ content proposition, covering all Ligue 1 matches and play-offs, all Ligue 3 matches, and highlights, magazines and original documentaries. The service is due to be available from the start of the 2026–27 season through a web application and major connected TV environments including tvOS, Android TV, Amazon FireOS, LG WebOS and Samsung Tizen.LFP Media is pitching the Pro offer as a tool for venues to increase footfall and spend, using live football as a repeatable appointment viewing driver across the season.
