Details covering investor returns, revenue participation and any commercial rights granted to Gasol16 Ventures and Fortified Partners have not been disclosed. The investment comes as Liga F prepares to begin the next process for marketing its audiovisual rights. The league said its cumulative audience reached 7.5 million viewers during the 2025/26 season, representing an increase of 11.2% compared with the previous campaign.Liga F’s clubs also approved the competition’s budget for the 2026/27 season following the investment vote.Gasol16 Ventures focuses on opportunities across sport, health and wellbeing. Gasol has also invested in women’s sport through interests connected to the Women’s National Basketball Association and Bay FC of the National Women’s Soccer League. The group is expected to contribute its commercial and institutional network alongside the financial investment, drawing on Gasol’s international profile and experience across professional sport.Liga F was established as Spain’s first professional women’s sports league after the competition received professional status in 2021.The organisation has since sought to increase central commercial income, audience reach and sponsorship value while reducing the financial gap between its clubs. The €55 million agreement gives Liga F additional resources as it enters its next commercial phase, although the long-term impact will depend on how the funds are allocated between central league operations and individual clubs.
