Flamengo have approved a kit sponsorship with Chinese automaker GAC Motors, a three-year deal worth R$12.5m per year that takes the club's total uniform portfolio to R$450m annually.

Flamengo's deliberative council approved a new kit sponsorship with Chinese automaker GAC at a meeting at the club's Gávea headquarters on March 24, with the brand set to appear on match shorts and training and pre-match shirts.The three-year contract runs until 2029 and is worth R$12.5m per year.Flamengo commercial director Marcos Senna said: "We welcomed GAC to Flamengo with great satisfaction. It is a global, innovative company that arrives in Brazil with a consistent brand positioning strategy. For Flamengo, it is very important to have partners who see the club as a relevant platform for connecting with millions of people."Beyond kit placement, GAC will feature on the team bus and interview backdrops, with the option to display vehicles around the Maracanã on matchdays.The company will hold four fixed boards at Ninho do Urubu, Flamengo's training centre, and two at the Gávea headquarters.During Campeonato Brasileiro fixtures, GAC receives one minute of LED board exposure per match and four inserts on the Maracanã big screens.GAC is expected to debut on the shirt after the FIFA international window, with Flamengo's next domestic fixture a Campeonato Brasileiro away match at Bragantino.The deal takes Flamengo's total kit portfolio to R$450m annually, though the BRB agreement — worth R$25m per year on the scapula area — expires at the end of March.A separate deal with consórcio firm Ademicon, covering the lower front bar of the men's match, training and warm-up shirts, was also ratified on Tuesday after a delay to the paperwork.That contract runs to 2029 and is worth R$14m per year, totalling R$42m over the term.
