brief

FIFA and DAZN have launched FIFA+ exclusively on DAZN, moving FIFA’s free-to-view streaming service into DAZN’s product ecosystem as the organisations push what they describe as a single global destination for football content. The integration combines FIFA’s owned programming, archives and Member Association match inventory with DAZN’s broader football rights portfolio, aiming to increase reach, viewing time and discoverability across territories where FIFA+ content is available.FIFA+ on DAZN will carry around 8,500 live matches a year in selected territories, drawn from around 100 FIFA Member Associations and positioned as a distribution lever for domestic competitions that often struggle for international visibility. The proposition is designed to benefit FIFA’s Member Associations by giving them a larger shop window for leagues, players and storylines, while giving FIFA more consistent consumption data and product signals to refine content packaging and fan journeys.Mattias Grafström, FIFA secretary general, said: “The integration of FIFA+ into DAZN represents a key milestone in our ambition to make football truly global and accessible. Following the successful collaboration at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, we are now taking the next steps in building the Global Home of Football, bringing together competitions, content and storytelling on a single platform while creating new opportunities for our FIFA Member Associations to grow their audiences worldwide.“Through this remarkable project, we will be able to continue celebrating the players who have made and continue to make football the world’s number one sport.”DAZN is positioning FIFA+ as a free content layer that can sit alongside its paid rights, widening the top of the funnel for user acquisition and increasing the time fans spend inside its app.Shay Segev, DAZN group chief executive, said: “Bringing FIFA+ to DAZN reflects our strong partnership with FIFA and our shared ambition to grow football’s reach and cultural impact around the world. "With our global footprint, innovative technology, and powerful marketing engine, DAZN will enable FIFA+ content to reach hundreds of millions of sports fans worldwide.“Launching FIFA+ will allow fans everywhere to access matches, iconic moments, and original content on DAZN for free as part of the world’s largest football community. DAZN continues to exponentially grow its premium content portfolio and cement its position as the global home of sport.”Beyond live matches, the FIFA+ slate on DAZN will include original programming and archive material from past FIFA tournaments, including full-match replays, highlights, goals and curated collections.FIFA has also highlighted parts of its 2026 event offering within the service, including the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup in certain territories.DAZN said it will layer in engagement tools such as FanZone, which includes community features like live chats, polls, quizzes and games, as it tries to turn passive viewing into repeat interaction around FIFA inventory.
