ExpressVPN joins FIFA World Cup 2026 sponsor roster
ExpressVPN has joined FIFA’s 2026 World Cup sponsor roster as an Official Tournament Supporter across the US, Canada and Europe, using the tournament to push a cybersecurity message aimed at travelling and streaming fans.
ExpressVPN has signed its largest sports partnership by becoming an Official Tournament Supporter in the US, Canada and Europe for the FIFA World Cup 2026.The agreement gives the VPN provider a rare position inside FIFA’s commercial programme, with branding set to appear on LED pitch-side boards during matches in front of the global broadcast audience. The deal is built around a clear fan-use case. Major tournaments drive heavy use of public Wi-Fi across stadiums, airports and hotels, while ticketing, travel and payments create a dense target environment for scams and data theft.Charles Butler, ExpressVPN chief executive officer, commented: “The FIFA World Cup 2026 is the greatest show on Earth, and our goal is for fans to experience every moment of it securely, without their data being stolen in the process. "By bringing this vision to the global stage and onto the world’s largest screens, we are fulfilling our mission. We are thrilled to give back to fans by offering them the chance to win match tickets.”ExpressVPN will support the partnership with a ticket sweepstakes tied to the business end of the tournament, with 50 tickets available across the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final. The company has also planned a Times Square digital advertising takeover in the week leading up to the final, working with outdoor media group Clear Channel Outdoor. The sponsorship adds another technology and digital services brand to FIFA’s 2026 commercial stack as the tournament expands to 48 teams and 104 matches across the three host countries.
