Everton expand Christopher Ward deal into training kit partnership
Everton have named Christopher Ward as their first official training kit partner, extending a long-running commercial relationship as the club enter their new stadium era.
Everton have expanded their partnership with Christopher Ward by naming the British watchmaker as the club’s first official training kit partner.The multi-year agreement will place Christopher Ward branding on Everton men’s and women’s first-team training wear from the 2026/27 season.Everton president of business operations Andrew Middleton said: “Christopher Ward has been a bold, innovative and committed partner to Everton, and we are delighted to see that relationship continue to grow through this landmark agreement.“Becoming our first-ever Official Training Kit Partner is a significant step. It not only reflects the strength of the partnership, but places Christopher Ward directly within the environment where our teams prepare, develop and strive for excellence every day, while also providing valuable global exposure through training and matchday activity.“From their role as a Founding Partner of Hill Dickinson Stadium, to the creation of 53° North and their support for Everton Women and Everton in the Community, Christopher Ward has consistently shown a genuine understanding of this Club, our supporters and our ambitions for the future.“We look forward to continuing to work closely with Mike France and the Christopher Ward team as we build on this partnership and explore new opportunities together during this exciting next chapter for the Club.”The agreement also includes visibility across Everton’s training ground, LED advertising, media backdrops and in-stadium branding at Hill Dickinson Stadium and Goodison Park.From the 2027/28 season, Christopher Ward branding will extend to Under-21, Under-18 and Academy training kit. The brand will also appear on first-team replica training items sold to supporters, adding a retail component to the sponsorship package.Christopher Ward’s relationship with Everton began in 2022 when the company became the club’s official global timing partner.The partnership has since expanded to include Everton Women, Everton in the Community, shirt sleeve sponsorship and founding partner status at Hill Dickinson Stadium.Christopher Ward chief executive and co-founder Mike France said: “We believe that excellence is built on the smallest details, whether in the precision of a mechanical watch or the marginal gains that define elite football.“Becoming Everton’s first-ever Training Kit Partner feels like a natural next step in our journey together. There’s a genuine alignment between our worlds, built on timing and a relentless drive to improve.”The expanded agreement follows Christopher Ward’s launch of 53° North at Hill Dickinson Stadium, a premium watch showroom inside the club’s new home.The company has also developed Everton-inspired watches linked to the club’s history, including limited-edition pieces celebrating Dixie Dean, Goodison Park and a prominent Merseyside derby victory.The deal adds to Everton’s commercial reset around their move to Hill Dickinson Stadium.The club have recently confirmed CMC Markets as their new main shirt partner and Stake as their sleeve partner.Christopher Ward’s training kit role gives Everton another branded asset across daily football operations, club content, matchday media and retail product from the start of the 2026/27 season.
