Everton enters mobile market with supporter subscription service

Everton have launched a SIM-only mobile service combining monthly plans with club prizes and membership benefits, extending their commercial offering into supporters’ everyday spending.

brief

Everton have launched Everton Mobile, a SIM-only service using O2 or Vodafone network coverage that combines calls, texts and data with club experiences and membership incentives. The service offers three plans priced between £15 and £25 per month, using Everton-related benefits to distinguish its proposition in the competitive mobile market.Everton chief revenue officer Aaron Duckmanton said: “The thinking behind Everton Mobile was simple: this is a service all supporters have a need for so how can we give them more value from it as Evertonians?“We have worked to create plans that are straightforward, flexible and competitively priced, with access to the O2 or Vodafone networks, while also offering supporters something their usual mobile provider can’t – opportunities and experiences that bring them closer to their Club.”The entry-level Essential plan costs £15 per month and includes unlimited UK calls and texts alongside 25GB of UK data, with opportunities to win stadium tours. The £20 Plus package provides unlimited UK data, calls and texts, together with opportunities to win signed shirts and stadium tours. Both operate on 30-day rolling agreements, while the £25 Ultimate plan requires a 24-month commitment.Ultimate includes unlimited UK data, calls and texts plus 35GB of EU roaming data, with prize opportunities involving Everton’s men’s and women’s teams. Those include match tickets, premium experiences, signed shirts, stadium tours and exclusive calls with players, giving the club a range of existing supporter assets to incorporate into the service.Customers retain their current handsets and can transfer their existing phone numbers, reducing the practical changes required to switch providers. The service uses existing mobile network infrastructure rather than a network owned by Everton, following the model used by mobile virtual network operators to offer branded packages through wholesale arrangements.A launch promotion links the highest-priced plan with Everton’s membership programme, offering eligible customers a complimentary Forever Blue+ membership for the 2027/28 season.Existing season-ticket members for that season will instead receive a Season Ticket+ upgrade, with the offer applying to Ultimate customers who sign up before 11.59pm on October 25, 2026.The membership benefit begins in June 2027, is non-transferable and must be used by the named mobile customer. The promotion connects a two-year telecommunications commitment with the following season’s membership benefits, giving supporters an additional reason to choose the premium package.Duckmanton continued: “From signed shirts and stadium tours to match tickets, Premium experiences and opportunities with our players, we want there to be genuine Everton value built into the service.“And for supporters choosing the Ultimate plan, the additional Forever Blue+ or Season Ticket+ offer makes the launch proposition even stronger.”Everton’s move follows Millwall’s launch of a club-branded mobile service with Three, illustrating how football clubs are extending their brands into subscription services beyond tickets, merchandise and media.Everton Mobile also allows supporters to request a reminder when their existing phone contract approaches expiry, enabling the service to pursue customers who are interested but not yet ready to switch.
