CazéTV wins exclusive Euro 2028 rights in Brazil
CazéTV has secured exclusive Brazilian rights to UEFA Euro 2028 after UEFA opted against the split-rights model used for the 2024 tournament, strengthening the platform’s position against Globo in premium football.
has acquired exclusive Brazilian broadcast rights to UEFA Euro 2028, extending its run of major football rights wins and deepening the shift towards digital-first distribution in the market. The LiveMode-owned platform will show all 51 matches from the tournament across YouTube and its other distribution channels.UEFA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with CazéTV in Brazil.“Their innovative digital approach and strong connection with fans will help bring UEFA Euro 2028 to a broad and engaged audience across the country.”The award follows a competitive process involving CazéTV and Globo, with UEFA moving away from the shared rights structure used for Euro 2024.That change made the process more strategically important because the winning broadcaster or platform would control the full distribution plan rather than sharing matches across different operators.CazéTV and Globo both held Brazilian rights to Euro 2024, when Spain won the tournament in Germany. The 2028 agreement gives CazéTV sole control of live coverage, highlights and tournament positioning in Brazil. That exclusivity gives the platform a clearer proposition for advertisers, sponsors and commercial partners around one of UEFA’s most valuable national-team properties. It also allows CazéTV to determine how matches are distributed across free digital channels, social platforms and other streaming environments. The tournament will be staged in the UK and Ireland from June 9, 2028, with 24 teams competing across 51 matches.CazéTV has built its model around free digital access, creator-led presentation and large-scale audience reach through platforms already used heavily by younger viewers. The Euro 2028 deal follows the platform’s acquisition of rights to all matches from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, another competition in which it beat Globo to a full tournament package.CazéTV will also show the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil on digital platforms, with those rights shared with Globo. The addition of Euro 2028 gives CazéTV a run of premium national-team football covering three consecutive years, starting with the men’s World Cup in 2026.Its football portfolio also includes LaLiga, Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A and Brazilian domestic properties. The accumulation of rights has turned CazéTV into a major challenger to Brazil’s traditional sports broadcasting model, particularly for younger fans and advertisers seeking digital reach. The platform’s recent momentum has not covered every rights process.LiveMode was excluded from the tender for Copa do Brasil rights covering the 2027 to 2030 cycle after failing to meet technical and financial criteria set by the CBF.The Euro 2028 agreement still gives CazéTV exclusive control of another premium football property in Brazil, while UEFA gains a digital-first partner with demonstrated reach in major tournament coverage.
