Betano widens its Porto footprint in three-year renewal
Betano has extended its principal sponsorship of FC Porto until 2029 and expanded the agreement to the women’s team as Kaizen Gaming deepens its presence across the club’s football structure.
Betano will remain FC Porto’s main sponsor until the end of the 2028-29 season after agreeing a three-year extension with the Portuguese club. The Kaizen Gaming brand will continue to appear on the front of the first team and B team’s match and training shirts, extending a relationship that began in 2021.FC Porto executive board member and chief financial officer José Pedro Pereira da Costa said: “FC Porto is stronger when its partners are stronger too. It is through this mutually beneficial relationship, one that we have built on trust and commitment, that both our club and our partners thrive.“Betano has been a key partner through many important moments, and we are therefore delighted to extend our partnership until 2029. Far beyond its presence on the front of our shirt, Betano has played a decisive role in several club projects, particularly Inzone, which is a source of great pride for us.”The renewal expands Betano’s rights into FC Porto Women for the first time, with the company’s logo appearing on the team’s shirt sleeve during their debut season in Portugal’s top division. That addition gives Kaizen Gaming visibility across three football teams and allows the partnership to follow the growth of the club’s women’s operation alongside its established men’s assets.Kaizen Gaming chief commercial officer Julio Iglesias Hernando said: “FC Porto has been an exceptional partner over the past five years, a period in which the club has won an impressive total of eight domestic titles, and we are delighted to extend this successful relationship until 2029.“We are especially proud to expand our partnership to include FC Porto’s women’s team, supporting another important milestone in the club’s journey.”The agreement also covers supporter activations and social responsibility programmes, moving the relationship beyond shirt branding and matchday exposure.Betano previously supported the creation of Inzone, a sensory space at the Estádio do Dragão for supporters who may find the traditional stadium environment difficult to access. The renewal strengthens Kaizen Gaming’s position in Portuguese football, where Betano has built partnerships with several of the country’s leading clubs.FC Porto gain continuity around one of their most visible commercial assets while extending the sponsor across a broader part of the organisation. The next phase will place greater emphasis on fan experiences, community initiatives and the women’s team as Betano seeks more value from a relationship that will now run for at least eight years.
