brief

Bayern Munich have signed a three-year partnership with Wonderful that will see the enterprise AI company support the club in deploying artificial intelligence across its operations until 2029.Wonderful becomes Bayern’s Official Enterprise AI Partner, with the relationship beginning in fan services before expanding into additional business functions. Financial terms were not disclosed.Bayern board member for marketing and sales Rouven Kasper said: “At FC Bayern, we are constantly looking for new ways to improve the experience for our fans while simultaneously strengthening our behind-the-scenes processes.“Our partnership with Wonderful allows us to leverage the potential of enterprise AI through agents, starting with fan services and support on matchday when it matters most.”The first deployment will be an AI agent integrated into Bayern’s existing technology systems to support digital ticketing enquiries. The technology is designed to handle time-sensitive issues such as ticket access and account problems more quickly, potentially reducing queues and manual workloads around matchdays. That gives the partnership an operational focus beyond conventional technology sponsorship, with Wonderful’s products being embedded directly into club processes.Bayern said the deployment will operate within their existing technology ecosystem, allowing the club to introduce enterprise AI capabilities without replacing its core infrastructure.Kasper said: “We look forward to working together to develop effective solutions that meet FC Bayern's high service standards.”Additional enterprise AI applications are expected to be introduced during the three-year agreement, although Bayern have not yet specified which areas will be targeted.Wonderful co-founder and chief executive Bar Winkler said: “Wonderful is delighted to partner with FC Bayern as it accelerates its enterprise AI ambitions.”“We’re proud to help extend that standard of FC Bayern.”The agreement reflects a wider shift in sports technology partnerships towards products that can deliver measurable operational gains alongside sponsorship rights.Ticketing and customer service provide an immediate use case because clubs face concentrated demand around fixtures, while AI agents can potentially automate routine requests and allow staff to focus on more complex issues.Bayern’s agreement with Wonderful therefore gives the club both a new commercial partner and a platform to test how enterprise AI can improve efficiency across a large global sports organisation, with further deployments planned during the partnership.
