American Airlines lands major Inter Miami role with Nu Stadium rights

Inter Miami have named American Airlines as their first Official Airline Partner in a multi-year agreement that also makes the carrier a Founding Partner of Nu Stadium and Miami Freedom Park, linking travel, loyalty and premium hospitality rights around the club’s new home.

Inter Miami have signed a multi-year partnership with American Airlines, making the carrier the club’s first Official Airline Partner as well as a Founding Partner of Nu Stadium and Miami Freedom Park.American will also take naming rights to the West Club at Nu Stadium, which will become the American Lounge and span the entire West Stand with more than 1,800 premium hospitality seats.Inter Miami president of business operations Xavier Asensi said: “When we set out to establish our airline partnership, it was important to us that we align with a partner that matched the ambition and global stature of Inter Miami, and American naturally fit that vision.“Its deep roots in Miami, iconic brand and ability to connect people across borders make it a true powerhouse in the airline industry. Together, we have a unique opportunity to bring the world even closer to our Club and create meaningful new ways for fans everywhere to experience Inter Miami.”The partnership combines sponsorship inventory with American’s AAdvantage loyalty programme, creating a direct consumer channel through which members can access club experiences.Benefits will include pitchside access, travel packages combining flights, accommodation and American Lounge hospitality, as well as selected away-match trips.AAdvantage members will also be able to redeem miles for selected Inter Miami matches and experiences, giving American a mechanism to connect its loyalty customer base directly with club inventory.The agreement has a strong geographic fit. Miami is one of American’s largest hubs and a major gateway into Latin America and the Caribbean, regions that overlap with Inter Miami’s international fan growth.American also receives international partnership rights, broadening the relationship beyond South Florida and supporting both brands’ expansion in overseas markets.American senior vice-president of Miami International Airport operations Juan Carlos Liscano said: “American has played a key role in the growth of Miami as a global destination for culture and tourism, and we're thrilled to partner with an organization that shares our relentless momentum and joint passion to connecting this community with the world.”The airline will also appear across Inter Miami content, including a travel-focused series, alongside community initiatives and an annual American Theme Night.The deal is another significant commercial addition around Nu Stadium and Miami Freedom Park, where Inter Miami are building a broader year-round mix of football, hospitality, entertainment, retail and leisure.American’s combination of airline category rights, founding partner status and premium lounge naming rights gives the carrier one of the more integrated sponsorship positions within Inter Miami’s new stadium ecosystem.
